Not everyone knows that originally I wanted to go to school majoring in Interior Design. I've been in love with decorating and design since I was in elementary school. Maybe it came from my dad. Our conversations include words such as, take down that wall, build a new room, add flooring, lightning. You get the idea.... Well today after looking at my favorite design websites, I found a designer that I just LOVE! Best thing is we share the same name, different spelling though. I absolutely want to make this headboard for my bedroom. I love a vintage yet modern feel. I love combining vintage pieces with new pieces. This reminds me of Vintage Hollywood. LOVE IT!

Taking an old chair and reupholstering it makes a timeless piece. If you can find a chair at a local discount store and find an affordable upholster you could get the look for less. Plus you can customize it with ANY fabric you want.

I love the color and texture mixtures. White and blue are a classic color scheme. Adding the pink gives you the splash of color you need. 

To me an area should look beautiful, but lived in at the same time. Nothings worse than a home that looks like a showroom. This picture combines vintage and beauty. You have the framed record and mirror that reminds me of vintage living paired with the clean lines of the daybed and linens. Adding a basket for reading materials gives the look of being "lived in".
